Cherry iced green tea recipe: this fruity tea is a fantastic beverage for hot days.

Green tea is packed full of health-promoting compounds. Regularly drinking green tea can help you lose weight and reduce your risk of several diseases, including diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Drinking three to five cups of green tea per day seems to be optimal to reap the most health benefits.

Perpare Tea

1. Place the following in a bowl: ginger slices and cherries.

2. Top everything with the sugar then add in 2 cups of filtered water.

3. Place a covering of plastic on the bowl and place everything in the fridge overnight.

4. Add 2 additional cups of filtered water to the bowl then place your tea bags in a jug and add in the boiling water from the bags of tea.

5. Let the tea sit for 1.5 mins then run the ginger mix through a strainer into the jug and add in the lemon juice.

6. Use the pieces of lemon as a garnish.

7. Enjoy.
