3 tsp Black Tealoose leaf ( or 2–4 tea bags) Or sub decaf black tea

2 tsp Sugar

1/2 Masala Chai Spice MixUse 1/8 teaspoon of spice mix for 1 cup of tea

Directions
Masala refers to the combination of spices, which often includes cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, pepper and star anise. This favorite hot drink enjoyed by millions in INDIA and sold all over India by chai wallahs, or tea vendors.
Masala Chai favorite among people especially during the rainy and cold winters for keeps the body warm.
The strength of tea depends on the kind of tea leaves and quality of spices. Do adjust the quantities as desired. Also adjust the quantity of milk if needed if you like tea to be more milky or less.

Prepare Masala Tea/Chai1. Boil the water and milk with 1/4 teaspoon spice mix. 2. When the water boils, Reduce heat to low, add the quality black tea leaves and sugar and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes to infuse flavors. 3. Cover the saucepan and let it simmer 2-3 minutes. |
